“A walk in nature walks the soul back home.” – Mary Davis

There is no doubt that you will get a barrel of laughs taking part in a girls only hiking trip. But things aren’t necessarily so straightforward when it comes to preparing for one. From clothes to home comforts to food, choosing what to pack is quite hard.

Here is a carefully curated list of the 7 things you need to pack while on a ‘girls only’ hiking trip…

1. Sanitary products

Sanitary products is one must-have item on your hiking trip. You should always pack extras and spares, even if it’s not your scheduled time of the month, just in case. Pack just what you usually use in your average cycle, not in extensive amounts. Pack them in a tin container as that’s how it’ll be protected from any possible water damage, like from the rain or if there’s leakage of a water bottle in your bag.

2. Quality hiking boots

It’s very important to pack some high-quality hiking boots on your hike. Waterproof boots are the best ones to have as they provide with solid ankle support. Your hiking will turn a nightmare and will be much more difficult and dangerous if you don’t have strong ankle support in your shoes, so make sure you tick off that box.

3. A good, comfortable bra

Never overestimate the importance of a good bra. A good quality bra is the one I think of most when suggesting what to pack on a girl only hiking trip. A good bra supports you perfectly and makes sure you’re not uncomfortable during the long and tiring days of your hike. It will also ensure that you achieve your full potential while hiking.

4. Warm pyjamas and socks

Nights are always cooler than days when hiking, to be very honest. And that is why it is a must to pack thick and cozy pajamas with fluffy socks to stay warm throughout in the evening and at night. They’ll also add to the evening atmosphere of a girls’ night, apart from keeping your warm. Nobody likes freezing in the middle of a random country and on top of a mountain, so make sure you follow this piece of advice.

5. A pack of cards

A pack of cards, one thing you will never regret packing on a girls only hiking trip. You’ll all want to be together in the evening, and who doesn’t enjoy playing a game of cards every now and then? Apart from making for a chilled evening, you’ll also develop a memory that you’ll hold dear for a long time.

6. Extra razor blades

Depending on if you personally prefer to shave and how long your hiking trip is going to last, it’s suitable that you pack extra razor blades. Forgetting your razor has gone blunt which no new razor blade to replace it with is the worst feeling ever. So take it on board now that I’ve warned you about it. Pack them in a small plastic wallet or a small case.

7. A quick-drying towel

Everyone needs a quick-drying towel, be it on a hiking trip or a long travelling excursion. It makes sure that you can dry yourself properly and also that it dries itself quickly. They are simply life savers. The best part about these towels is that they hardly take any room inside the bag as they are easy to roll up and then put in. Make sure you have one of these.

Happy hiking my lovely ladies!
